 This customer wanted 6x6 end grain fir blocks inlaid in such a way that they appeared as if someone had dropped some and they had scattered "into" the abutting red oak flooring on one side of the kitchen island. On the other side of the island, she wanted it to look as if the tile "leaves" were inlaid into the field of 6x6 blocks. We finished this floor with a non-toxic penetrating oil, quite an interesting and challenging project. |
